I was born and raised in Portland. Growing up hiking and backpacking, I developed a love for the rugged mountainous wilderness of the Pacific Northwest as well as a desire to help protect it. These days, I live and work in Gresham, and get out into the mountains whenever I can escape the orbital pull of the PDX metro area. I have no photography training; I currently shoot with a Nikon D-70, and I’m just beginning to learn how to use all its features. I am active with the Mazamas and occasionally lead Mazama-sponsored day hikes; check the schedule and join us for a hike. If you hike and climb in Oregon and Washington, there’s a fair chance you will run into me on some mountain eventually. Until then, enjoy the blog and give me a shout if you want to chat.
